Montserrat is full of heritage and history.  However you may be unaware of the impact that tiny Montserrat has had on the rest of the world.

Did you know that the Big R.A (radio Antilles) or the "Spirit of the Caribbean" which was located at O'Garro's in the south of Montserrat was the largest and most powerful radio station in the Western Hemisphere? Boasting some 200 000 watts of power and covering someone 800 000 sq miles, frankly quite hard to beat. In the day it can be heard from Virgin Islands to Guyana and in he nights can be heard from Puerto Rico all the way through to Surinam. Having said that I know of a few people who were able to listen to Radio Antilles right here in England .
